I know this sounds like common sense, but it's a problem. I have roughly 10,000 photos on my computer and I am in about 2% of them. It's the tragic event of capturing the memory forever while not being in it. Most of my photos of myself were taken by me at arms length. This particular photo is taken on the balcony of the University of Tennessee Architecture building at 3 am during a full scale design project. Another poor soul who never gets photographed is the second child, or any child after the first. Parents get picture happy, taking pictures of the first newborn doing absolutely everything. The second child becomes such a melodramatic experience. It is a lot like getting your first car. You want to go everywhere all the time. Then it just becomes a boring routine... you find yourself forgetting the past 30 minutes driving down the highway. "Was I paying attention? How long have my eyes been halfway blurred?"
